Dr. Kalyn Taylor

Dr. Kalyn Taylor is a licensed mental health counselor, coach, university professor, and well-being expert who is passionate about helping individuals build resilience, find purpose, and create meaningful lives. She works with graduate students to explore what it means to live and work well, both personally and professionally.
Her work is grounded in positive psychology and focuses on resilience, gratitude, strengths-based living, and meaning-making. In addition to her teaching, Dr. Taylor owns a private practice where she provides counseling and clinical supervision, supporting both clients and future counselors in their growth and development. She is also the co-author of the workbook Creating Resilient Missionaries.
Dr. Taylor’s passion for well-being is shaped not only by her professional experience but also by her life outside of work. She is a wife, mother, mother-in-law, and proud grandmother. These roles have deeply influenced her understanding of growth, balance, and the everyday challenges people face.
She is especially interested in what helps people stay grounded, continue growing, and find joy in daily life. Dr. Taylor believes that small, intentional practices such as showing appreciation, staying curious, and taking time to reflect can make a meaningful and lasting difference.
